Welcome to the Persona 4 analysis. Persona 4 Golden is a videogame I've spent the last year researching, rewriting, replaying and trying to understand, and a game that I think offers a lot for introspection. P4 and by extension P4G spawned countless spinoffs from the Persona 4 Anime to Persona 4 Arena, to P4AU and so forth. Today we just talk about the original game, with as much context as I can afford, for a game historically lacking easy context- all lost in translation. As this is an in depth analysis; huge spoilers, obviously.

The last segment of this video really exemplifies the strength of Persona 4: world building. The fact that that an obscure, entirely missable social link has such a deep backstory revolving around grief and fittingly the public’s perception of him, as well as the fact that Atlus gives a brief, passing glimpse on Naoki’s relationship with his sister before our adventure truly begins…It’s along the same lines as the detail mentioned went into designing the (also often-overlooked) models for your room shelf. This title would still have been great without any of these small treats, but it underscores the depth and thoroughness that went into creating these games, a depth that warrants thorough analyses such as this. Thanks for it.

I don't often comment on videos, but I couldn't just stay silent on this one. The insight and research given for every single aspect of the game is amazing, and as someone in the West getting some of the cultural context was fascinating, especially for some of the more minor characters that don't get discussed all that often. I watched this video over the past month? Maybe past few months, but I think this is one of my favorite analysis videos I've ever watched. This video DESPERATELY needs more views and while I know the video length is daunting, I implore anyone interested in watching this video to give it a chance. It'll definitely be worth it.
