My First Commodore 128!

Today I will test the Commodore 64C/128 Hardware I got last weekend in the mother lode. So I am going to bring you along to see did it all work. What was broken, and what needs to be fixed? I will be testing the Commodore 128 and a 1902 monitor. I will also be testing out a Commodore 64c. I will also test multiple drives - 1581, 1571, 1541c, 1541, and the 1541 II. That red cartridge with no label from last video is probably a snapshot cartridge. Yep. Snapshot stuff works great on 1581/CMD RAMLINK/CMD HARD DRIVE.

I regretted selling all my Commodore stuff when I was a kid, especially the C1902 monitor for 80-column mode.. had to buy back most of the Commodore stuff from e-bay, except for the C1902.

So the c128 won't boot into 64 mode with RGB only ? Only composite?

I upgraded to the Amiga and the C128 with C1902 just sat around for a year in a couple boxes stuffed into a back closet... then it was sold for about $50 bucks with all the software. What a kick in the nuts that is when I look back.

Miss my C128... sometimes it hurts when I think about it... lol...

These days I run Emulation... Not the same, but it cures the fix I need.

Well after buying a modern the c64 maxi and telling myself I'll never find a real one in my price range that's in good shape I'm showing my friend the c64 maxi I got and I go to ebay to show him how much they look alike randomly I pick a real one to show him the photos and I find just what I've been looking for all the time a real commodore 64 in beautiful condition, now I have a real commodore in the mail funny how things happen
