I can honestly say my favorite part about the z-shot match, is Earl genuinely raising Efren's hand in victory. Earl is admittedly different, but truly a misunderstood & wonderful soul.

Earl showed a lot of class and respect for Efren at the end. Great moment in pool history.

Thing is, he only had 1 try. It's not just that he did it; it's the circumstances as well, being in a televised professional competition under the pressure of the lights and cameras. That's why it's a moment in history.

Reyes is just a great guy with a great story all around.

In that spot during the competition, heck that spot in the game even, to study the board on the spot, line up and ultimately sink that shot is absolutely incredible. Given the stakes, and the situation I definitely agree that's probably the best pool shot ever. Efran was just incredible under pressure

The fact that this happened live in a tournament and the sportsmanship that emanated from this situation is heartwarming.
Teach your kids competition, but respect and sportsmanship always prevail because it will always go both ways

I had this Z shot come up in a match I had 2 weeks ago, but the cue ball was only about a diamond past the side pocket. The object ball was in nearly the same position. I actually declared that I was going to do "Efren's Z-shot" and I made it! I have never made that shot before in my life, and this time I actually made it during a match after declaring I would! One of my proudest moments in pool.

Not just the shot difficulty, but the pressure and environment he did it in. Imagine making a freethrow shot in your backyard vs a freethrow in a championship game 7 for the win.

As a complete layman who only ever played the game super casually, I find these types of moments absolutely fascinating, they're like freaking witchcraft to me. Amazing, truly amazing.

Yes the magician was the greatest of all times. Along with the skill level off the charts is also a level of luck. When you have mastered the first one the second comes easy. Great reenactment of the shot herd around the world, in pool that is. Great video, thanks.

Man this video really puts in perspective the difficulty of that shot. Yes- if efren missed no one would've blamed him (like going for a game winner when the game is tied vs being down cause the game goes on)

But damn he made it and won in that moment.

Great video. Enjoyed watching Efrin's original shot. And the adjustment process of your homing in on it was quite helpful to see. Thanks!

For you to make that shot in 14 attempts is impressive. I thought you would take somewhere between 50 and 100 tries. I can see how skillful you are after you made the shot by clearing the table.

Let's just talk about Efren's shot and how he did it at the spur of the moment with so much pressure and the title on the line. It was just as iconic as Jordan's last shot. Even the reaction of Strickland who finally realized that Efren was the GOAT and let sportsmanship get the better of his monster ego and arrogance was a shock and he would probably never do it for anyone else. Because let's face it, any shot can be replicated given enough time and analysis.

The scariest part is he did it in 1 TRY and UNDER PRESSURE. Yet he still seemed so confident… 🤯

I used to think that this is a plain 3-cushion shot.... but it takes a lot of understanding of speed and spin in addition to geometry as the recreation shows.

Amazing that Reyes could pull that off in tournament.

Nodoubt, he is greatest of all time. But still you have done well on 14th attempt.
Simply loved watching Efren reyes play. This is the reason he is known as magician.

Yes, Efren is the best ever. And making that within 14 tries? You're not too shabby either. Really great video

Remember this was a hill hill situation to win the match. Imagine the pressure and Efren still kept his cool. I’ve would have been shaking like hell and be totally out of control 😂 Truly one of the greatest shots of all time.
