I just did my first set. Had to file them manually. They're hanging on. It has been a week. Thank you for all the lessons.

I am a home diy nail lover/doer. I taught myself how to do my own hard gel nails by watching hours and hours of You Tube videos. Once I got good at hard gel I dove into poly gel. I did poly gel for about 1.5 years but my end goal was to eventually learn to use acrylic. Thank you so much for sharing your love and knowledge of nails. In April I received my first starter kit from Glam and Glits and started my acrylic journey. My first set took me 6 hours but you know what I had a blast and the end result was beautiful. I used forms instead of tips and I'm so glad I did! It wasn't perfect but I was overjoyed at what I had accomplished. I have now done 2 fills and I get better each time. I love your creativity and the way you share your passion with the world. I know it's just nails but for this single mom of 2 little boys it has given me so much joy and confidence. I get compliments on my nails all the time and it warms my heart when my boys tell people that their mom does her own nails and they love to help me pick out my next design or color!

I went to school to become a nailtech 10 years ago, never ended up working as one, but at the time I did all those mistakes you just talked about in this video. Im thinking about if I should try it again. I haven't tried it since then.I live alone now, so I have nobody that can complain about the smell of monomer, wich I btw love. A nailtech thing? Haha, ty for the video, you teach and inspire! Oh btw, Id love to buy your brushes but I live in Sweden so I think shipping would be too expensive for me sadly. Hugs!

ok so i just need to say that i absolutely love her for sharing her knowledge. you can tell she legit loves nails. i know so many professionals in so many different careers who refuse to share their craft and knowledge out of fear of being outshined or becoming obsolete. the fact that she is teaching pros and those of us who do nails at home for fun is so refreshing. i wish more people were like her. it shows how confident she is in her knowledge skill and profession. keep it up!! i love everything about this channel lol

Absolutely love your videos, I haven't trained at college but have self taught myself and your videos are exactly how I have taught myself. Polygel is definitely easier in achieving beautiful nails but am still trying to crack working with acrylic. Thank you again, your videos are so informing not too overwhelming but also really calming xxx

I start school next Friday to study nail technology and I aspire to be like you suzi. I want to teach one day, own a salon, that would be amazing.

I just want to say thank you, Susie! I love doing nails, but I can't afford to go to cosmetology school. So your videos, teaching things that I would learn in cosmetology school is the only way I can learn. So thank you for sharing your knowledge, for free, here for people like me, who are very passionate about this, but I'm a single mom and there's no assistance programs where I live so I currently have no chance of going through school. So I can't do it professionally, but I can still do it as a hobby, and thanks to you, I can do it well!!

I was doing my nails through trial and error, no research at all and the universe brought your channel my way. I’ve learned so much! I’m working with poly gel rn, because you said it’s be good for beginners, whereas I jumped into acrylic with no insight(besides watching them do my nails in the salon)! You’re so informative, I love it!

Your so right about the use of acetone Suzie, it can be really confusing to new techs as most schools for nail training teach not to use any acetone on brushes, I’ve used acetone to clean my brushes I use for acrylic nails for 25yrs with no issues at all I’ve actually got brushes I bought from the school I was trained with that are 25yrs old they look better than the new brushes I’ve bought in the last few years, I’m so glad your showing the proof that a little acetone soak works I believe it’s the best way to clean the brush, thank you for sharing this video Suzie your a amazing very skilled nail tech, always a pleasure visiting your channel👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🥰🥰🥰

After you cleaned the brush with acetone apply a bit oil (hair oil only) in the brush hair - leave it in for 1-2 days and then wash the oil out with acrylic liquid.
Warm regards from Germany
