Super Reef Octopus 5000 Skimmer

This is the unboxing and description of my new Super Reef Octopus 5000 Super Space Saver protein skimmer and the self cleaning head.

@CRAZEYJACKAL1 -- Thanks. I debated over getting the SRO 3000 unit but the price difference between the 3000 and 5000 was about $70 so I figured go bigger. If they made a 4000 unit I would have probably gone that route.

What's the difference in the XP 5000 SSS? Can't find what the XP is.

I'm actually ashamed to say that my fish tank project has slowed during the summer and I actually haven't even tried out the new skimmer.

Honestly couldn't tell ya what the difference is, never looked at the XP model.

XP means it has a Cone Shaped body.
