Newsboys pour from the entrance to a building; a baseball game in progress; a burning building collapses as firemen watch;  several men working in an office; a man typing on an elaborate mechanisms keyboard; men placing frames through a large cylindrical press; numerous men working with steam and pages of paper; plates are removed, and the reverse image of a printing plate is examined; men check semi-circular forms with print; a finished front page; numerous shots of the actual printing with the papers on a vertical conveyor system; a room filled with spinning drums of paper print; an ink wagon arrives at the Detroit News building; huge rolls of paper in storage and placed into the printers; tens of thousands of papers are wrapped and transferred; a large group of newsboys cheer as two of them box; more printing; a comic page; men playing tennis; two rows of women taking notes and talking on telephones; a bench with signs: 'Ladies Only' and 'Men Only," a heavy man sleeps in the women's section; two women join him and jostle him for room; they all look at obscuring pages of a paper
