Hello every one, like i said in video, take care.... but i guess if some are sharing video of jet engine built with out welding, this is no more unsafe.... but please respct, this is an experamentle unit....think about what you are doing

As with every thing, if used wrong it can be unsafe

Am looking for some spark gaps, but if you want to you can make your own with a spark plug and some thinking

Am also looking for good plugs, and will contact friend and see if he has any left in stock, i do have 2, I will let good, they are new old

I can vouch first hand for the power these igniters put out. Andy built me one for my little Rover gas turbine a while back. Last week I was playing around with it and accidently touched the HT lead while sparking it up.... I have had many shocks from normal car / bike ignition coils, but they were NOTHING compared to what I got off the igniter. It was only afterwards that I realized what I had done, and how serious it could have been.. Be very careful. Lesson learned !

In my project I will use a diesel engine heater plug wrapped in a tube the moment the kerosene comes into contact it ignites, so I preferred high voltage instead of damaging the electronic systems of the jet engine, very interesting your project friend

I used a zvs flyback driver and coil as the HV source and increasing the voltage from 12v will increase the amount of "sparks". using 3x caps and 5s RC battery @18.5v voltage resulted in blowing a spark plug in two. This is a fantastic circuit, easy to repair and very easy to mod!!

Hi again Andy. Any chance you would still have spark gaps available for sale? I purchased NOS ones here in the states and I believe the values are too large (gap is much larger than yours and I'm not seeing any output) I've been over the circuit a few times. Tested components, swapped components. If you have any available or can tell me the values of the gap tubes you have been using I'd be very grateful. Thanks again!

Hi from Canada! I have a question about the microwave capacitor used in your ignition system video. It is rated at 1500 volts while the high voltage generators are producing 10 times that voltage. Any fear of blowing up the capacitor? Thanks.
