DOLLAR TREE HALLOWEEN TREATS!! || FRUGAL HOLIDAY FUN

More holiday foods from Dollar Tree- this time, it's Halloween-themed! In today's video, I'm making TWO different Halloween treats:

-Spider cookies
-Halloween brownies

I made tombstone cookies 1 yr for my sons Halloween Party at school using DT ingredients .He still remembers that and he is now a dad and is 30 😂😂

You made so many festive treats perfect for Halloween! 🎃 You were very creative, especially using DT items! 🤩
I've found when using the tub of frosting, it helps to stir it up after you open it. That just makes it smoother and more pliable. ☺️
My sister-in-law and I made some Halloween candy for my niece and nephew. DT has the little silicone molds so we melted almond bark then spooned it into the molds. The molds are pumpkin, ghost, bat and skull.🎃👻🦇 💀 We put orange food coloring in the pumpkin and left the ghost and skull white. I had some sprinkles of black and purple bats and just put some in the mold before adding the almond bark.
About 10 minutes into it we decided we needed another set of molds. In the sprinkles I also had the eyes which we added to the skulls and there were also bones that we liberally sprinkled. 🦴
It got pretty tedious so I started putting little spoonfuls of the melted candy on a plate to cool off. I mixed red food coloring in and put bones on top.
The impression made from the molds was quite detailed and the characters looked adorable. 😋
This was so much fun to make, we both had a blast! 😚 I love doing things like this for the kids at Halloween!
But that wasn't the best part. I got injections in my back last Monday and for the first time I'm finally getting some relief! ☺️
I've told you how much trouble I have standing and I usually have to sit down after 5 minutes. We must have been standing in the kitchen for over an hour. We took little breaks while the candy was cooling but then continued until we were through.
You just don't know how wonderful it feels to finally have some relief. I feel like a new person. I'm just so thrilled that the injections helped! 😘
I'm still trying to pace myself because I don't want to overdo and aggravate my back. But I'm going to try cooking some meals this weekend while I'm more mobile.
I just wanted to share the good news with you since you know the struggle I've had. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will last several months! 🤞 Just think of all the wonderful things I can bake for Thanksgiving and Christmas! 😁
You said you don't care for candy corn but do you like Butterfinger? I have a recipe for homemade Butterfingers that includes candy corn and peanut butter. And it's not as hard as the ones at the store.

Idk what it's called but dollar tree sells candy dots on paper strips and they are perfect for eyes!! This is so adorable 🤩

Your amazing . Some can try and never turn out for them at cooking so why not sell the stuff you make online ?? You have a gift . God gave people a gift and you are really gifted on you tube at cooking so why not sell small treats like peppermint bowls .i could never make one even if I tried .. don't let the gift God gave you pass you by .. your to amazing . Wait a minute! You’re supposed to BAKE the cookie dough after you’ve mixed it up? 🤯🤯. THAT’S what I’m doing wrong! 🤪😁.

You come up with the most creative ideas! I’m not a fan of candy corn so I love the idea of topping the brownies with them because that will make them taste better.
