Spider Cookies

Spellbook Brownies

Makes 12 Brownies

17 ounce box of brownie mix
Oil
Eggs
Large Candy Eyes
Black gel icing

Prepare brownie mix per package instructions and pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Bake according to 9 x 13 instructions on the box. let cool completely then cut into 2" x 3" recangles. For clean cuts let the brownies cool then use a large sharp knife. I also cut off the rounded edges so that all of my brownies had sharp corners.

Add some black icing in the upper right corner and add a large candy eye. To the left side add a vertical line across the entire brownie and some perpendicular "stitches" this will give the look of a book spine. I added a ring of black icing around the eye to make it look like an eyelid as well.

Enjoy!

You deserve a show on the Food Network. You make cooking interesting and easily relatable through your stories and "motherly" personality.

The thing I still semi-regularly observe since small childhood is making burgers on the night. Everybody gets to carve their own Jack o lantern face in a slice of cheese and as it melts on the hot burger it transforms to become scarier or hilarious.

The original 1978 Halloween is my favorite Halloween film for sure. I love those spell books. I have watched hocus pocus every year since I was a tot.

I just wanted to say that I'm having a tough time in life right now, but being able to escape and watch your content for a brief moment of respite is really appreciated. Thank you for being such an amazing content creator. ❤

You have given me so much confidence in my cooking. I have been cooking and I have been trying out some of your recipes.
My daughter loves this movie my grandson is named after the main character.

When my kids were little I'd make either GHOULash, or baked rigorboney (rigatoni) for pre-trick or treat dinner.
I'd make sugar cookies, which I'd painstakingly shape into "lady fingers", complete with creepy fingernails and "arthritic" knuckles.
I miss those days.

I agree with you about the Albanese gummies. They are definitely the best.
All these recipes look fantastic. I wish I had a reason to make one. Maybe I will make the popcorn mix.
I would usually make pizza on Halloween when my daughter was trick or treating. Sometimes she'd have a friend eat with us and they would go out together.
My favorite scary movie is Jeepers Creepers. I was actually terrified watching that movie for the first time as an adult.

I love seeing you happily in your element and just truly enjoying yourself. I can't imagine the pressure and demands of running a growing (and highly successful ❤❤) YouTube channel and you've said at times you've felt like you were drifting away from your dollar tree days. I love this video for you. You've also said before you wish you had a big family to give your yummy creations too. When you first said that, I imagined all of us, your YouTube family, coming together for a little potluck and how many of us would come to meet you and share your delicious food... thousands of us ❤.

I love all these treats, but yeah, especially like the Sally cookies. I usually do chili, corn bread and hotdogs/ sausages on buns. We sit by fire. We sadly don't get but one or two trick or treaters. So sometimes we do stores and watch its the great pumpkin Charlie brown.😊

We always have turkey and bacon tortilla wraps in the van on Halloween to eat between trick-or-treat stops.
I’ve found cutting brownies with a plastic knife works great! They don’t stick to the plastic and I get cleaner cuts
