How to fix sound crackling on windows xp (VMware)

For those saying it doesn't work, VMWare broke the Audio fix for Windows XP in some version of 16, i am still frustrated that VMWare's release of 17 still doesn't fix Windows XP's broken sound, and i've waiting for a long time too

I was very sketchy about using this but my VM doesn't have network access as is so I gave it a whirl. No more warble! It legit works! I'd just put the .EXE in the All Users Startup Path vs. have the EXE in the User Startup Path and create a Shortcut. That's why you get the error saying the tray is already running. This only works on VMware 16.0 or older this method worked for me because i have version 16.0 installed of VMware workstation works great even in other languages i may have to deal with annoying messages at logon but is still good enough
