How long did you use it for? Your hair didn't grow 2+ inches in only 30 days, you would only be able to see baby hairs coming out in that short amount of time. DEFINITELY not enough time to tell a difference in the way your hair cuts. Your hair will feel thicker after you dye it due to the dye too.
