Today's video is about Iran's transition from Sunni to Shia after 850 years.
Three incidents of Persia or Iran related to the Prophet Saww are mentioned in the biographies. After the departure of the Prophet Saww, the first Caliph Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique ra sent Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed ra on the campaign of Persia despite all the difficulties and won victories. After the departure of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq ra, Hazrat Umar Farooq ra also continued the same campaigns and conquered Iran after the battles of Qadisia and Jalula. Sasanian rule ended. Eight and a half years later, Shah Ismail Safavi, who belonged to the Safavid movement in Iran, changed Iran from a Sunni country to a Shia country and showed severe violence and persecution for it. Those who were not approved to become Shias were killed. Some accepted the Shia religion to save their lives. Sunni scholars were also martyred in large numbers. The shrines were martyred. Mosques were occupied. Then the Safavid government was destroyed by the Afghans.
