Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. With this in mind, we ask the question, why did the Jews not believe Jesus? Why did they reject Him as the Messiah? They could not deny the miracles that Jesus Christ performed. The apostle John in the Bible wrote that the Jews wanted to put Lazarus to death, whom Jesus had just raised. What are your thoughts about this story? Were the Jews wrong for thinking this way about the son of God?

Lazarus was raised from the dead, but he was NOT resurrected. He was not raised in a glorious, immortal body. His life was restored to his mortal body. Jesus was the first resurrected.

Two different things, and the distinction is vital.

Yes, it is from John 11. What is missed is that they plotted to kill Jesus for fear that "the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation (John 11:48)." Job security killed Jesus. Jesus was more than a messenger from God. He is God.
