Nelson Mandela’s death in prison, Sinbad’s movie “Shazaam” and the beloved Berenstein Bears are all things you may clearly remember. There’s just one problem: none of those memories are accurate. NBCLX storyteller Cody Broadway talked to experts, and even Sinbad’s children, about the so-called Mandela Effect and why our memories can sometimes play tricks on us.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. My memory has served me very, very well over the years. The difference between something like JIF and JIFFY is 2 whole letters. A small child knows the difference between a 3 letter word and a 5 letter word.

What makes you people think hundreds of thousands of adults would "misremember" something that simple?

Trust your memories. You are the one who sees truth. Then there are the unconvinced and lastly the blind who have been supernaturally blinded to the time we are living in.

Trust my memories?? Dude I saw both of those films. They came out six months apart. My ex-husband and I joked about the second film being just like the one we just saw. So we went to see the second one too. Are you saying both of us have a fake memory of going to the movies???? I remember when that film came out and joking with co-workers too. hmmm I guess everyone I spoke to at the time has a fake memory. Interesting how so many remember the film.

My son remembers this movie, watching it at his grandfathers place on vhs. Realise this was when the internet was in its infancy so everything was distrobuted physically. alot of VHS movies and series also never made it to bluray or dvd, which can explain it disappearing very good. Sinbad does have military history too. if there was a legit lawsuit between sinbad the studio or company that made the movie, itd be easy to re call due to a win in court. whether that is the factual reason or not. You cannot discount millions worldwide claiming to see the film when they dont know each other and knew of this movie without any visual prompts or power of suggestion

they are NOT false memories, me and my daughter saw with our own eyes how the jcpenny flipflopped from jcpenny to jcpenney, we both saw the letters changing, and we both started to freakout about it right there, if it were only me, ok i might think that maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, but 2 people at the same time witnessed the letters changing right in front of our eyes? no way! this shit is real! STOP TRYING TO GASSLITGH US!

I think what people fail to realize is that the movie probably never made it to VHS and it never air on TV long enough to become a valid memory. And back then the internet was dialup so they could make things vanish back then that they’ve never distributed because internet never intervened. Too many people remember him to be a genie to be a false memory. There’s no way everyone’s memory is bad. That just doesn’t sound right.

I was a kid when this happend, before i even heard about this as an adult i have memories of me trying to find my movie in my movie cabinet when i was a kid and being like wtf where is my movie. And I always thought there was something wierd about this movie that i could never find. I dont have memories of sinbad but i was very young and just remember that my movie disappeared and they where 2 very similar movies both about genies with similar titles and one day there was just one of them. I remember i wanted to watch the "other" version of the movie Kazaam it was almost as if i dreamed watching the other one. It seemed as if i had a magical vhs player. And this is what a remember as a kid that something very fuckin wierd about that movie. Then one day i look it up to see about this movie Shazzam and i discover that there is a phenomenon called the Mandela effect go figure💁‍♂️
Also i remember only getting too watch this movie once, very foggy but i remember brother and a sister, chain link fence that he talks to the genie at school and a school hallway. Like i said i was just a kid but i remember searching threw all my movies for this shazzam movie that i never found. Maybe i watched somethibg else and mistook it for that.. but clear as day a remember looking frantically threw my cabinet to find it so i could watch it again. Just one of those memories that i just cant forget

There's just some anchor memories that can't be misconstrued, example the Kennedy's assassination two seat limo only four people in the car. This I would consider a "hardened memory", you would have to be a total moron to go ahead and admit to a three-seat limo with six people in the car.

In my opinion the most shocking changes are ones that have to do with death, geography and astronomy

The YouTube channel That's Impossible in a video a man has a bernstain bears book in his hands and when he crosses the threshold going into a room in his house the book's writing changes to Bernstain to Bernstein Bears. The change happens and he shows this in the video as it is happening.
So, the only conclusion is that Mandela affect is real
But, WHY

Sinbad movie clip is right here on Youtube, look it up 👀. It is somewhere😊 That movie was a big deal as Sinbad and me are from the same state. The mother name was Tina, and they found the lamp in the attic.
