No TV show has reached the Peaks Lost had in its Season Finales. They were like TV Events, 2 hour extravaganzas.  They never played it safe and Always changed the aspect of the show.  Truly Amazing.

This scene is the "sixth sense" scene of the whole tv show industry.
We were all thinking "the purpose of the show is to leave the island" and they said "NO this is not the purpose of the show". How awesome is that?

And people saying "lol lost is about mysteries". No it's about characters. The most fucking great scene of the show is on what you believed a FLASHBACK, not on the island, and it's not about the island but about the characters.

Lot of people already saying this but it is still important: this twist combined with the tension set up throughout the season is mind blowing. I cannot describe in words how intense this has been. Even if you are binge watching it today for the first time it is not the same. Different days, we were waiting months and years for these episodes. Meanwhile rewatching season 1 & 2 on DVD.... this was a perfect storm and I am happy to see that many people are here who can appreciate that...

I don't think any other show will ever come close to pulling off such a genuine stunner as this scene. Nobody I know saw this coming and in retrospect it was just so brilliant how they took the anticipation of the freighter coming to the Island and used it to misdirect us from the flashforward technique.
