They really dropped the ball not giving Starlord his element guns because " Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn purposefully avoided using in the film, believing it would add too many new sci-fi elements to explain in a single movie"

They tried to nurf him in the MCU by Ego saying that Peter received his supernatural abilities like an antenna from but that can't be true because if it was, Ego would have found him way earlier, and he wouldn't have needed him as a battery because he would have acted more like a parasite.

He's also one of the only humans (yeah, not really) that has been to exposed to cosmic radiation and didn't get cancer. I believe Jane Foster's and his mom's cancer is directly related to their exposure to cosmic radiation.

It was stat3d that if he destroyed his father and that planet he would lose all of that strength that his father was showing him. I mean him and most of his team had Thanos immobilized for a short time. So he is strong enough.

Peter quill is like Jack sparrow he acts more stupid than he actually is I mean before the gaurdians movie this guy knew how to manipulate people into giving him what he wanted the amount of women he was able to charm was alot Peter was also a professional theif he was raised as a ravager he was a master of trickery and deception and espionage breaking into places stealing things and escaping he avoided intergalactic authority for an incredibly long-time, he comes up with the plan to destroy Ronan he holds the infinity stone and defeats Ronan in the secone movie he defeats a living planet something far beyond the avengers threat level in a day he also goes toe to toe with iron man and Spiderman, he was able to come up with a plan all by his lonesome on how to subdue thanos on titan taking into account everybody's strengths and he did this with 6 avengers with ease he also came up with a plan to defeat he high evolutionary broke into ogrocorp and broke back out and yes with or without powers star lords an absolout Ely intelligent badass and he absolout Ely deserves to rest in his retirement.
