Orcs Must Die! 2 begins days after the ending of the original game. With the rifts closed and the magical Order dead, the War Mage finds himself suddenly thrust into a new battle against the mindless orc mob. He has a powerful, if questionable, new companion in the Sorceress, an ex-War Mage responsible for the destruction of the Order.

Who knows. It was most successful on PC so that's why they made it exclusive, but if it goes extremely well it might do.

Well, this might contain spoilers if you haven't beaten the story yet. But when the rifts closed, there was no more magic, and it caused droughts and people to starve. The old man was never really dead, just unconsious, andd so in order to stop the droughts, he started re-opening rifts to restore magic to the world and end the madness. Now that the rifts are re-opened, the Sorceress and the War Mage are working together to defend them. They're going to rebuild the order, as well.

if you beat the game (if not *spoilers*), you should know they needed magic for curing diseases and bringing rain for better harvest,

From my understanding, use of magic for economical and medical purposes caused rapid increase of human population, just like in real world advancement of medicine and industrial revolution did, without magic they couldn't maintain that population level and many would die, so they need it back.

i agree with you. i also believe that lore/story is one of the most important elements to a game. i hope there was a good reason the rifts opened again. i hope it wasn't because the war mage counld not live without killing orcs.

I do apologize for coming on that strong, reason was a lot of comments bashing console users and the possibility of a console version at the time. Got frustrated.
I consider myself a PC gamer, and i personally prefer PC, but I also own a console which I mainly use when playing with some of my friends that can't necessarily afford a PC. My point is, there's no reason for SOME PC gamers to talk so much shit about consoles and throw it in the face of console users just because they prefer the PC
