I want to thank you for making not only me a better skater, but all your coaching is passed through to my daughter!

I bought her a micro deck for her birthday, and your expertise in skating AND coaching little kids makes it so much easier for me to explain the basics.

Your other ollie video where you got rid of the "sliding your front foot forwards" was really an eye-opener for me.

The way youre able to really help visualize and conceptualize the mechanics of skating has done wonders for my form

This is just EXCELLENT teaching. I've never really seen this before in skating.
Hell of a job, bro.

I've been teaching my nephew how to get better ollies. He's been doing them like this, but he doesn't have the control for it yet. His board rocks back and forth and goes all over the place. So I had him start just below the bolts to get his technique better. I told him once his ollies are looking controlled and leveled out to start moving his foot back to get more height. I told him more height will do nothing for him until he gets the motion and timing drilled into his brain. I always tell him: Less power, more technique.

Watching your videos helps me to be able to help him easier. Thank you.

Some of the most positive and uplifting content on the internet 👏🏼 makes me want to dust off my board after 10 years

It's good to see how he doesn't necessarily slide his foot all the way forward. He just moves it in order to push the nose to level the board.

the biggest reason why mitchie brusco is so good both at skating and teaching is because he's really been able to understand the physics and mechanics bhind every single action. it's insane how wise this dude is.

i found that getting the ollie or 180 really high is mostly in the ankle flick. a more narrow stance allows a higher jump and lets nose rise quicker, yes... however, when you feel that friction, you flick your front foot flat and push it out over the truck. the board is literally thrown, it's just that your feet get in the way of it flying off... thing that gets some is how far in front of you the board has to be. not just bringing the tweak back either, have to jump in a fairly vertical posture and the board has to be where you shins are, which isn't below your hips. really high ollies push board past your weight center two ways and have to be brought back...

I've never skated before nor have any intention to start at the ripe age of 26, but I love your coaching shorts! Your ability to communicate concepts so clearly is incredible

its interesting cause this also means that you actually have to WAIT longer before dragging your foot, which took me a long time to understand and put into practice

Literally watched like 3 of your Ollie videos and got better already. I ride Bmx so skating is a bit foreign, but I like to pick it up time to time
