Just a note there are three types of adapters in different sizes that allow you to connect your gas line to stove/oven.
For example, the newer yellow gas line has its own adapter it comes with BUT you need to change your gas line stem/cap- it will not connect .

The old silver gas line as shown in the video has its own adapter which you can buy to attach your NEW stove. Go to your Home Depot and they will find the right piece it’s $5-6. So you don’t need to change your gas stem/switch line.

FYI for those finding this now, you DO NOT use pipe dope on a flare fitting. It can interfere with the fitting seating properly and actually cause a leak. I can see in this video he did use it on that fitting as well but didn't mention it. Don't use it, its designed to be used without tape or dope.

Thanks, dude! We just moved into an apartment that had a neglectful occupant. There is a sketchy stove here, and the oven won't even turn on. I saw a nice unit, but I was a bit concerned about safety. This video has removed *layers* of concern! 💯

I have the same exact stove. The manufacturer says to place a wrench on the inlet nut on the other side of the regulator when tightening the supply line. This will ensure that there is no stress placed on the inlet valve. Just my 2 cents, but a very informative video.

Wife here.. My Husband is not handy at all 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I take care of all the repairs around here. I've never had to install a stove before. My dad was still around and installed my last stove but thankfully he taught me enough about basic repairs before he passed away.
