I was literally talking with a friend yesterday about Berserk and the fear that it would never see a final conclusion. Then the news about Miura hit this morning. And I want to feel depressed and broken. And I saw this vid in my history. So I click and listen again. And it reminds me to be like Guts. Persevere.

RIP Miura. You gave your all to create the GOAT manga and it in turn gave me what I needed to survive the worst place in my life, in addition to inspiring countless other beautiful works of art and fiction. The world will never forget your work.

I love how the song's motiff changes around the two minute mark from a simple yet beatiful orchestra to an erratic/scatteted mix of guitar and violin. It almost feels like the difference between a duel and real combat.

Whatever the outcome, it'll be a tragic and brutal departure, for they'll both give it their all for the sake of their desires: Guts' family and Griffith's empire.

I was in such a bad state last year. Never reading or learning about arts. I then came across "Berserk" and it astounded me. The art, themes, and story, the inspired me to learn about the old arts and stories, to read again, to draw realistically. If it weren't for Miura, I wouldn't have been as productive. Props to him, despite his constant hiatuses. Rest well, dear legend.

How is Berserk one of the coolest things ever in almost every aspect? I don't even know how this is possible to find something this epic in so many aspects from the manga to animation to music to fan contributions, so much is put into it from so many fronts.
