I like how in this anime, Nagisa didn't know any of the girls liked Tomoya because knowing her, she's so dense and nice, she probably would've helped out her rivals without being aware of her own feelings and being hurt in the end. This is because most animes and mangas are like that. Also, in the beginning of Clannad, the girls kinda already knew they didn't stand a chance when Tomoya started helping Nagisa out. It was kinda obvious what was gonna happen.

I loved how this was done even though story wise it does break my heart a bit. He didn't tell them directly that he liked Nagisa; his defensive actions and concern for Nagisa told them that he had already made up his mind. And I give props to Kyou. I didn't like her too much at the beginning of the series. But the more she opened up, the more I warmed up to her. And her willingness to help Ryou instead of selfishly going for Tomoya herself made her one of my favorites in Clannad.

I love how Tomoyo 0:28 in a fraction of second understood that Tomoya was in love with Nagisa despite she didn't know anything about her. She accepted that like the brave girl she is without doing any drama or regrets. She is waifu material all the way

It is so much more realistic. In other anime the boy lifts the girl up and carries her leaving the crowd all impressed and all. But that's not real. Seriously, everything about this anime is very real.

You know I actually love this one fact about clannad. You see it's a harem anime but it's mainly a slice of life. Meaning the drama is more or less based on what would happen in a real life counterpart event thus when the main character finally chooses, The other girls aren't just oh yeah I'm total fine with this. . . It was actually heart breaking for them like it should be after all they have to throw most of those feelings in the trash and give support, sidelining them in a story they wanted to be a main character in.

tomoyo became a successful business woman.
sunohara was a model for some time before becoming a taxi driver.

This scene was so powerful its the first moment that tomoya makes it clear for everyone that he likes nagisa, the sudden realization from them pausing then accepting his decision was perfect.

The dub wasn't bad actually. I'd say the only issue I had with it was the mispronounciation of the characters' names.
