In Germany you get both versions. But Kinder Joy is mainly sold in summer because they don't melt that easily.

In Portugal we have both, kinder surprise and kinder joy but apparently the first one is mostly sold during winter and the other one during summer because it won't melt lol

I prefer the kinder surprise myself but will accept the kinder joy.
My absolute favorite kinder item is: the Kinder Delice.
It is a chocolate-covered cake bar with cream inside.
It's the perfect balance of all three.

We have kinder surprise in Canada. When I went to Italy like 15 years ago I got kinder gelato and imagine my surprise when it was based after the joy😅 I’m like, what are these little balls?💀
we also have the joy now in Canada too but they’re not as ubiquitous as the surprise.

There’s a few other Kinder products like those little bars or their holiday bites that taste just like the Surprise chocolate. Just a tip :)

The kinder surprise gave back memories, when I was like rlly little I remember my mom bought them, then suddenly they disappeared and I started to grow with kinder joy eggs. I want the old ones back 😭 I never knew they got banned until today
