My husband was stopped for having Kinder eggs in his luggage once! He even said, “Yes I have Kinder eggs, is that a problem?” There was a huge backed up line of travellers behind him, and we guess the agent’s supervisor just said “D’you SEE this crowd?? Just let him go!” 😂 His friends enjoyed their treats when he made it home!

I remember being so upset coming into the US as a kid and finding Kinder Eggs nowhere. My old school back in England used to give them as special prizes in competitions, and you could find them everywhere in shops. They had Wonder Balls too, but Kinder eggs were a lot more popular.

The chocolate in the UK in general was a lot better tasting. I came across the chocolate covered pretzels in the blue bag and got all nostalgic, so I bought some here in the US... But it tasted like a low quality imitation of the UK kind. It wasn't until some years later I found out there really was a chocolate quality difference between the countries

We do have Kinder Eggs in the U.S, they are just packaged differently by making sure the chocolate and toy are separate, like there's chocolate in one compartment and the toy on the other side, the packaging is even shaped like a egg. I'm pretty sure there are still kids out there who try to eat the toy.
