I think Muzan would get rid of him ASAP. He is a highly skilled demon, he is very smart, and he would guarantee that Muzan will win the battle with demon slayers. His absence already makes their victory 10 times harder, but if he just switched place with strongest demon Kokushibo, demons would still win (I mean... Kokushibo is a good warrior, but blood magic is more helpful in this situation)

But there is one thing... Muzan is a coward! He wouldn't create someone who is stronger than him or nearly strong as him. Muzan would take him down because if Yushiro wanted to, he would win Muzan. He can control minds, make an illusion, and manipulate other's thoughts even without eating human meat. But... he can't do that because of curse, right? And why would he do that? To free himself! He could make some strong demon sabotage while he tries to escape. After freedom, he can easily start a war between demons and demons

It all depends on context. Yushiro would be screwed as an upper moon in the sense he'd never get an upper rank position based on combat. (Same with Nakime.) Their strengths aren't offensive, they're tactical. All the other uppermoons had some powerful form of offense. Yushiro's power no doubt COULD potentially mess with Kokushibo especially since he already proves it possible with Muzan, but if he were made a demon by Muzan and he challenged Kokushibo, he'd never get the chance to blind him. He was able to catch Muzan off guard because he was first distracted by going after Ubuyashiki and second after being completely blown up, and THIRD by being clueless who tf was using a blood demon art (The flesh seeds) against him. Nakime is similar. She was controling the entirety of the infinity castle alongside half having to focus on Mitsuri and Obanai going for her head. If they had a chance to see him coming, he'd never get the tag on their face. Context speaking, Nakime is the most "powerful demon" cause all she has to do is betray anyone at the right time by sending them into sunlight. She'd never be able to win a physical fight against friggin' Gyokko but she'd be able to teleport him out no problem.
