Nicely curated. It reminds me of ‘urgh a music war’, which played late night cable in 1980. That blew my 12 yo mind and changed my life forever.

Some of those bands I had never heard of, but I did grow up in the 1980's. I really remember the Cult breaking out and I had thought of them as the Alt Rock Guns and Roses. I was in the Army at the time and the first month I got out, I was lucky enough to see the Cult and Guns and Roses.

My musical collection was complete when discovering the Sound. Anyone who loves the U.K. invasion (post punk / synth / new wave / indie) MUST hear albums like: Propaganda, From the Lions Mouth, EP Shock of the Daylight … it does not get any better, and PROCEEDED anything like it. It is criminal that the Sound is not more readily known. They possessed a timeless, sonic power - in a league their own, yet drowned out by a wave of less talented, promoted bands.

Many thanx for bringing a smile to the face of an old fart, brought back memories of 1979 Lewisham Odeon Siouxsie and the Banshees and many gigs thereafter bought The Sound Jeopardy mp3 via Amazon they don’t do the track you televised as mp3, Merry Christmas and Happy Punk Year.

I hadn't heard Dance With Me, by Lords of The New Church before. I'd only heard the song by Cosmo Vitelli a french DJ/producer from his 2003 album 'Clean', which I hadn't realised was a cover version. I loved this original version. So, many thanks to you uploader. I would probably never have heard it with you bringing it to my attention.
