doing things different today - I truly feel like I needed to get away with makena to focus on Starlite and really make this company everything I want it to be. I'm excited to not only explore and experience Bali, but have a safe comfortable place to focus and work together.
Not to mention I really did want a space to heal and change things up a little - I want to do a bit of self reflecting while i'm here!

I haven’t been watching YouTube as much recently, and I realized I especially hadn’t watched you in a while. All through high school and up until a couple years I watched every single one of your videos. We are the same age, and I always wished I could live like you and be able to do all the cool exciting things you did. I realize now that just because you are able to do these things doesn’t mean you live a perfect life. I hope you are doing amazing, and are truly happy. Watching a few of your newer videos has made me feel so nostalgic and sad knowing how fast we are growing up. It’s a scary thing, but we gotta just keep doing the best things for ourselves.

Really enjoyed this little vlog! I would say the best strategy for jewelry to be "sustainable" is to focus on the artistic, sculptural value of the pieces, so that they really are worth more than the metal used to craft them. Think big picture about your brand from a design perspective -- what kind of pieces can you make that will still be sought after some day as second hand thrift finds or antiques? What cultural value will they continue to hold?

(By the way I think your jewelry line has very strong design and meaning already, and know that you have a good eye for these qualities)
