Показать описание
For the German Philosopher Martin Heidegger etymologically building equals to dwelling as to being on earth. The clearing of the space is always related by virtue of its location and to their location and not by virtue of the space itself. For Heiggger building means dwelling, the act of building is closely related to dwelling, to being on this earth.
By creating a boundary, clearing the space, cutting trees, taking away part of the surrounding wilderness and making room to dwell in. Architecture starts by clearing away space , releasing space from wilderness... The relationship between constructing a world from the immediate context in which the dwelling is set connects the building, and as such, it connects the dweller with its context. The building is first made by clearing the context to make room for a dwelling. The boundary of the dwelling is pushing Heidegger’s wilderness away, pushes it out to make room for man’s dwelling.
