Red Beans and Rice Recipes | Crockpot Recipe - Here is yet another easy and delicious tasting Red Beans and Rice Recipe made in a Crockpot. Super easy to make with about 15 mins of prep work and your in the Crockpot in no time.

Hands down, this is the best comfort food, soul food, cajun style food that is super easy to make!

Note ***** You can add 2 TBSP of your favorite Cajun Seasoning to tis recipe for the New Orleans style taste.

Instructions:

1) Line out all of your ingredients in bowls and chop up all of your veggies and sausages.

2) Add all of your ingredients to a 6 quart Crockpot/Slow Cooker, set on High for 6 Hours.

3) Cook Rice according to your package directions.

4) Serve Red Beans over the bed of rice of your choice. Top with Green Onions and or Fresh Parsley for garnish. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

4 cups of uncooked Long Grain Rice of your choice
1 lb Dried Red Kidney Beans
1/2 lb Smoked Sausage (Andouille Sausage)
1 Green Bell Pepper
2 Cellery Ribs
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Onion, medium
1 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
6 cups Chicken Broth
1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
Green Onions for garnish
Parsley for garnish

I've got this going in the crock right now! I'm one of those "use what you have" kinda cooks so I had to make just a couple of changes. I didn't have a green bell pepper so I used about 4 small red yellow and orange sweet peppers...and 3 small pepperoni peppers I had left over from making a Mississippi pot roast! Figured it wouldn't hurt!

I live in New Orleans, and make red beans every Monday. I recently learned you don't need to soak the beans for hours when using the crockpot because the slow cooking process will eliminate the oligosaccharides. The beans will still be creamy in the end.
