Wow this is such great information, I have been shooting everything since 2000, I love shooting sports but I also love shooting everything else. I have a great name but you taught I need to build a brand. I have tried so hard for so long to get on the field for the Florida gators football games but close doesn’t count. One piece of advice is to start small. By that, I mean you probably won't be successful going to a Division I school and asking for a sideline pass for football or men's basketball as your first request. Think of the less covered sports. I started my DI access doing rowing and women's tennis, then moved into volleyball. Although I now do some football, I find that I personally like baseball and volleyball the best and concentrate there. Remember that all those athletes have parents who want photos, and the sports information people love shots of the 'lesser' sports because they get panned by so many photographers who only want to get access to football or MBB.
