Meta Glasses are the future of computing

Meta glasses are the first holographic, see-through display that allow users to see, create and interact with digital objects shown in physical space. The company is envisioning a world that no longer isolates people with flat screens, but rather, brings them together and allows seamless interaction and collaboration between digital objects overlaid on the real world. By scanning it's surroundings, it can find spots around you which you can't see. That means it can generate hologram creatures which emerges from corners making a fantastic survival game! First person shooters with zombies, survival minecraft and even Cod!

I'm suprized . They managed to keep a sleek design while maximizing the product . although the cameras are pretty disturbing to the flow and could make it better while hidden, these look awesome . and don't forget this product is in really early stage, so i expect size improvment's to make it appealing to the consumer

Being someone who works with technology for a living, I think this is awesome. I find it hilarious when people talk about the price of this being too high... You know that $500 laptop you are using to bash this product? How much do you think something comparable would have cost 10 years ago? 15 years ago? ALL new technologies start this way. If you're one of the people in the comments that wants to go on and on about how this product is too expensive, and about how it isn't worth the investment... Get over yourself. I assure you, your opinion is FAR more worthless than this product.

Ultimately, it boils down to this; If the product isn't for you, then don't buy it. I don't have the money for one, but that doesn't mean I can't get excited about something cool. Maybe 5 or 10 years from now, these will be as cheap as a tablet. That will never happen if you disown the idea because you can't afford it. Have you ever heard the children's story about sour grapes?

I also would honestly sooner spend the $650 for the Dev model than I would spend the same amount on a tablet. Tablets are nothing more than an awkward middle ground between traditional computers and the new augmented reality interface. Get used to it, or get used to being left behind.

Amazing !!! It showed us how the glasses can be used in place of traditional CAD software to design a 3D printed object using only your hands. Congratulation, Gentlemen ! this new technology has been showed by HTC VR in the MWC Barcelona !

What will kill this thing is not the quality of this product but rather the price. At over $3000 no one will be able to afford this. It's too ahead of its time.

I have six hopes for this product:
1) becomes cheaper
2) becomes a bit more stylish
3) becomes common place so I won't have to feel odd wearing them
4) has MANY applications developed for it
5) isn't banned while driving (or other physical activities)
6) eventually comes in a contact variety :P

So what if you are very happy with the very good laptop you have now and you don't need whatever the big companies are releasing ???  We are bombarded with tones of adverts/publicity on a daily basis and they try to shove there products in out throats a lot over the limit. Not sure if you've ever seen some of the early versions of Google Glass.... The ones pictured in the video were a developer version. They are also doing early sales of a streamlined version, that is probably closer to being the final consumer product.

I think perhaps it has wireless connectivity to 3d printers, therefore sending the design to your 3d printer and then letting it print for you after you have designed it.
