before tampering with TdR, there is a better way with minimal to no risk.
- Go to the Nvidia control panel
- click on "help" or "support"
- enable "Debug Mode"

it worked in my case with Borderlands 3 (which also uses Unreal Engine 4). RTX 2080 Super OCed.
