Accuforce Wheel by SimXperience - First Impressions by Inside Sim Racing

The Accuforce wheel is a new high end force feedback wheel that has been under development by SimXperience for quite some time. The version that we were able to drive is still a prototype model that isn't that far off from being completed. It is built around a massive single brushless motor that looks nothing like the motors within a Logitech, Fanatec or Thrustmaster wheel. The motor itself is........

It's taken me a over a year to save and build the pc section of my rig, and now I've got eyes for this, It sounds like exactly what I'd need to really enjoy a three screen racing experience.

Psytex, I have my CSW mounted to my desk with their V2 clamp and it doesn't move. Regardless of what SRT say, a cockpit is not necessary. The CSW is the best I've ever experienced. Super pleased and well worth the money.

For those worried about cost, there will likely be other servo motors available on the market, some members in the sim community are building there own wheels and have even gone so far as to develop there own drivers and controller boards that can then be used to control the servo controller unit and the servo motor itself.

There are rumours that these boards will be able to be bought effectively allowing anyone to custom build there own servo wheel from between £500-3500 depending on the motor, servo controller, wheel and servo power supply used.

At a guess I would not be surprised If they sell this Accuforce wheel to be in-line with the price point of the bonder wheel probably slightly cheaper so around £1500-£2500

As Darin Gangi and Shaun Col rightly say in the video, a servo wheel is totally incomparable to any other consumer wheel.

Most of the consumer wheels use belts and gearing to multiply the torque and to mask the cogging of the motor and gears which although certainly makes the wheel feel smooth to rotate it also makes them all feel kind of soggy and adds dampening and latency to the system.

Where as servo wheel has almost no standing resistance and can rotate at 200+RPM with 10+Nm of force.

Sorry for the long comment but Servo wheels and the Oculus rift are truly monumental advancements in the realm of virtual reality and consumer level simulation.

The G25/27 were at 500Hz long before the Thrustmaster btw.. The T500RS started at 125Hz on release and received a firmware update to 500Hz later.

I'd absolutely love to see a bunch of well known people in the sim community (Heusinkveld, Huttu, people with popular Youtube channels etc) brought together with the cream of the crop in steering wheels and offer opinions on them. This wheel, ECCI, Frex, Simsteering, an RFR home build and the two best commercial offerings (CSW and T500 RS). Not easy to arrange, but that would get a lot of views!

I hope that when it comes out it will be customizable as in a version with no wheel, so I can bolt my ROSO onto it. :)
Can't wait, hope it's priced below ECCI and Bodnar.

How does this compare to leo bodners steering system. Is it better or equal, or just cheaper? Why dont you just do a review or comparison of the both? Accuforce vs SimSteering comparison.

Great Video....This seems competition toward Leo Bondar wheel so price will depend on how strong servo motor they are using....Leo's uses 16nm peak torque/20, 000Hz update rate sells for seems to be weaker servo due to its size so there is hope this might be in the $1500-2000 range.

I don't care if it's a freakin' prototype. Been watching this channel since it was a month old and I don't even have a wheel. Gimme gimme!

Can you both answer me on this? Why has Darin been excluded or used very minimally in the latest videos recently? Don't get me wrong, I love Shaun's videos, but you guys need to do more together!
