What happens when you burn your tongue? #shorts #tongue

Burned my tongue several times on hot chocolate and coffee. This is why I always put a couple of ice cubes in my coffee and why I make hot chocolate “semi-hot, ” but every now and then I’m a doofus and forget to add the ice or microwave it too long by accident. The worst that’s happened, so far, is having to deal with an itchy tongue for a few days.

I have a cold, my Mom always said that Vitamin C is helpful for almost everything. I like Vitamin C crystals, the sour is something I enjoy. However I have just been putting the crystals directly on my tongue instead on diluting them with water like I normally would. I might have acid fried my taste buds off on that spot. Do you think I will recover, or will I not have taste there for the rest of my life because it was an acid burn? Please help!

I burned my tongue severely. I was sick and not thinking straight and ended up taking a big gulp of water that I had just poured from the kettle.

It's been a week and it still hurts and I can't taste anything on most of my tongue.

I just ate rice porridge and i burned my tounge and after i burned my tounge i kept eating my food and i didnt taste anything after and i think i burned my taste buds and feels like there are tiny spikes on my tounge.
