Sonic fans are never satisfied. This cutscene was amazing yet people still complain about useless things like sonics quill. These are probably the best pre rendered cutscenes we've seen in a sonic game

It's kinda wild that the "fake emerald" plot point fits perfectly here since it's a yellow emerald and the fake emerald in SA2 was also a yellow one

I doubt they would even consider something like this back when they were making OG Generations, so it's definitely a crazy coincidence here

Am I the only one who sees that Sonic charisma and presence is doubled whenever he’s not the main character ? Like having Sonic for an enemy and be in the enemy POV is kinda intimidating

The fake emerald is a neat twist, and Shadow only losing because he had a moment of "wait, what am I thinking? I can't use these powers on Sonic" is also fine, but man... It'd be so satisfying to get to kick the tar out of Sonic like you could in the old days when controlling another character. It's really lame we were robbed of that. Shadow could have just giving him the fake Emerald out of pity after beating him down.
