I’ve seen her rusting for years outside at the B&O museum in Baltimore. Faded, rusted, but still rocking the red, white, and blue from ‘76. About time she gets love.

I happily volunteered to help as a teenage railfan when the Freedom Train came to our city. The crew was some of the finest people I ever met! Hope this new venture is just as great.

The amount of railfaning on the freedom train is gonna look small compared to when the classt1 gets finished.

If it needs to tour around the country, it'd need 2 things.

1. 2100 would need PTC installed for it to run on the mainline.

2. Class 1 railroads would need to negotiate with the ASR and come up with a plan on how to do it without disturbing rail traffic.

They would also need sponsors from big corporations to fund an entire train.

I belive its possible, But Class 1s need to be more Steam-Friendly.

I reached out to the ASR about this, they said that they weren’t originally doing a nationwide tour with 2100. However, they said that it was an interesting idea and they were open to it. So this video may end up becoming a reality after all.
