I took the “Try not to cry challenge” while watching Mr. Rogers say his final goodbye, man that’s one hell of a fleeting task. Fred Rogers was a staple in my childhood, and I am 100% convinced the good morals and values I have today are because of that man right there. #RIP #misterrogersneighborhood

He was the embodiment of how the world should treat each other. What a gift God gave us in him.

Mr. Rogers, he's one of those extremely rare people that no one has anything bad to say or has any complaints about

I'm a 37 year old milennial and I grew up watching Mr. Rogers. Its been so many years since since those days of sitting in front of the TV watching his show and already it's been 20 years since his death but I've never forgotten him and I've never forgotten the warmth and kindness he shared with the world and my generation. He was an incredible man. One of the best to ever walk this earth. No matter what this world throws at me I will always carry his memory in my heart and I continue to be inspired by his spirit and dedication to loving and accepting others just the way they are. The world is bleaker and emptier without him. I miss him to this very day.

Every once in a while when someone is being extra for no reason, I find it exceptionally effective to say to them "You're not being the person Mr. Rogers believed you could be."

If there was ever a time that we needed Mr Rogers in America its now in 2024. The world is a lesser place without him. People have forgotten how to care about each other.

This man was as close to a Saint as there was on earth. The impression he made on me as a child stays with me even as a grown man. He made you feel special, and you knew you always had a friend in Mr. Rogers! Kids need a Mr. Rogers in their lives so badly today!

Of course I failed the challenge. I am gen X, and this man helped raise me. My brothers and I would sit on the floor in front of the T.V in the morning with bowls of coco wheat and watch Mr. Rogers. He used to tell us to be kind, to help others, to be respectful, honest, and patient. When we had problems in our lives, it was as if Mr. Rogers knew, and he would give a speech on that subject as we were going through it. When he died, I cried like a child. I showed old episodes to my kids as they were growing up, because I wanted them to learn from him like my brothers and I did. Guess what? I have two adult daughters. They do not smoke, drink, do drugs, they do not run around getting into trouble, sleeping around, and they show respect to us, and other elders with a "Yes sir, yes ma'am." Mr. Rogers was one of a kind. The media tried to find dirt on him, but there was none. He was the real deal.

It takes me back to being 4 years old. Mr Rogers came on right after Sesame Street. Oh how I long for those day before America destroyed itself. I’d give anything for one more day back in the 80’s. 😭😭😭

Greatest human being to live in modern times..I consider myself very lucky and blessed l got to witness the kind of selfless giving and kindness of Mr Rodgers. We owe him a great debt of gratitude for he's solely responsible for saving public television..He secured the the funding need to produce these types of programs. Sesame Street, electric company ect would probably never been aired if not for him
