Secret audio recording reveals two faces of The Animal Foundation

As The Animal Foundation deals with one crisis after another, former employees say the troubled shelter continues to be the victim of its own mismanagement. Darcy Spears reports.

Property Management Companies refuse to have pets on properties, as soon as they know you have a pet, they secretly remove your name and say, "ah, we found more "suitable" tenant, others charge $500 deposit +monthly rent if you have one. I keep seeing people drop pets because of that.

Does the CEO and other admin staff actually work WITH the animals?
How much is the ceo being paid?
Should look at the steps to volunteer too? they've made a LOT more difficult since 2019

I am going to assume she has the nicest house on the block. This type of behavior is nothing new but it is nice to see people putting themselves on the line and taking the fall to actually make the difference towards change. I would sacrifice myself and my position to do what's wright. Especially in a world where all too often the norm is to screw anyone over for personal gain.

So it’s about money, plain and simple. They are making it seem as if it’s because the way the animals are being treated but really it’s about staff wanting more money. These shelters are over run with so many strays right now that they probably don’t have a lot of extra money. If the conditions of the shelter aren’t good then the staff aren’t doing a very good job.

Totally under paid!!!! I have seen and I work in the animal care field it’s a lot and a huge team is needed!!! Stop abusing animals and humans!

Need to get some ppl that have worked in the animal care field like veterinary, non profit. Animal welfare care etc professional setting would get this taken care of!
