There’s a lot of errors they’re both making here. The gospel writings were contemporaries of Jesus with the exception of Luke and Mark.

Chris was really ballsy bringing this up. Love it. Glad to see it.

the council of Nicea did not discuss the biblical canon the council was formed because of the arian heresy

Nobody seems to know what the Council of Nicea was actually about

Chris is the quintessential dude that I could disagree with about everything, but still be great friends with him.

As we know the best time to talk religion and politics is after a few stiff drinks

Some people talk about how this was like a game of telephone. But if Jesus’ followers were between the ages of 20-50, then the first gospel could have been completed by a disciple around the age of 60 or it would have been completed by one of their followers.

Basically, the Bible would have been as if your parents or grandparents wrote you a book or asked you to write a book pointing you to the evidence and other eyewitness accounts of the things that have happeneded in their life.

So the main gospels are not written 10 generations later… rather it was only 1-2 generations after Messiah. So for someone to say it’s a huge telephone game it’s balogne to me. There’s too much evidence for Yeshua.

Everyone can believe what they want…. but everyone should be open to receiving new information thus open to change - one way or the other.

I grew up in the Lutheran Church. I was very religious. As I aged, I saw the hypocrisy in organized religion, so I became atheist. Now, many years later, I realize that Jesus lived and deserves respect.

First off I wanna shout out Distefano 🙌🏾🗣️🙏🏾 just for the effort and your heart being in the right place and wanting to get the word and facts out there… but there’s a lot of errors here ! The gospel writers were contemporary’s of Jesus except for Luke and Mark ! And they were contemporary’s of men who were contemporary’s of Jesus!

I'm getting frustrated with the arguments because any basic apologist would dismantle them, but remembered they're drunk lol. God bless them both

I May be wrong but I believe Paul’s writings were not meant to be biographical. Does that mean he didn’t know the facts of Jesus life or rather the purpose of his writings were different.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy a civil disagreement between two people who I like. I’ll grant you – neither of these two men have any idea of what they’re talking about because they’re both completely wrong on the facts, but I’m enjoying the civil conversation.
