Miuzei Servo Review - WARNING! Don't Buy Servos Before Watching This - The Best Cheap Servo

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This helps support my channel without any additional cost to you. Thank You!

I recently bought 10 small Tower Pro sg90 nano servo motors from Amazon for my Flite Test style Dollar tree foam board RC airplanes. What I found out was surprising.

Just because the servo is cheap, doesn't mean it's junk. Likewise, an expensive servo isn't necessarily a good quality servo.

You may be looking for servos to use in radio control Airplanes, cars & trucks or are wanting to purchase pico or sub micro servos for a robot or Arduino project. If so, you should seriously consider heeding the warnings of this video.

You can always buy the Higher-quality servos such as hitec at Tower hobbies, Hobby town and hobby express. The name brand servos will most likely cost more money but will hopefully have a better quality and longer life.

But if you're wanting to save some money, you can buy less expensive servos at Amazon and hobby King. However, quality could be an issue.

thanks for showing us how to test a servo, previously I only knew "it's moving" or "not moving"....

A simple case of a batch of servos that failed a QC check b4 the label was put on it. Then the whole batch was sold cheap to a seller that was willing to deal with dissatisfied customers. You can declare a loss selling the bad batch, but you can't declare a loss just throwing them away. Thanks for the heads up and as always...buyer beware.

the irony is that BOTH servos are made by Tower Pro!!! I have been to their factory and the owner is a friend of mine. The OEM for dozens of different NAMES. Product is all the same.

I've heard stories of companies buying up factory seconds an blatently reselling them as good knowing full well they are going to be for the most part defective in some way. The amount of people that don't care because of how little they paid and don't go for refunds makes it worth the companies filure rate to keep selling them. Good vid

Calling it a paperweight is not helpful when it’s not even heavy enough to be one. I recommend that you tell people to dispose of their electronics properly. If they don’t know how to do that just go to the nearest fire station and ask.

Thanks for making this, I've been struggling to get a pair of those tower hobby POSs working properly and this confirms my suspicions

Just wanted to post an update...
I bought 2 "tower pro" servos from ebay a few days ago, these came with the green part inside. One seems fine, the other seems a bit jittery.
Guess its a lucky dip....

Got the same problem using this servos on a robot arm project. After recording movements it’s unable to maintain position when in repeat mode

Good video. I just bought a 10 pack of these on Amazon. I will use them for RC model boats only. Many thanks.

I ordered Muizei servos and they have "TP" on the bottom. what does that mean?

Just tested my tower pros after watching this. They work just fine.
Maybe there are multiple manufacturers making the same servo with the same name?

CAN WE CONVERT NORMAL FLAT MOTOR FROM 360 DEGREE ROTATION TO 90 DEGREE OSCILALARY ROTATION FROM ARDUINO. AND HOW ?

Thank you. I was just about to buy the 10pk of SG90.

i think the mild reaction of the servo's arm can be attributed to slow sampling rate of the circuit board that recives control signals

i have a problem
i want a servo motor to operate in 2 different speeds with 2 diffrent clicks on button
for example normal 120 degree rotation speed at single click and fast 120 degree rotation at double click using on off tactile switch using a cr123a battery.all these using a pcb or arduino in the most smallest space is it possible?

Have a problem with a servo. The arm turns but doesn't make a motorised sound but when I plug it in it levels out and responds to movements from the receiver still, is it a problem? I did crash the copter

two years kater: by accident I bought exactly the same two brands. From accuracy I cant see a difference. Both have a green potentiometer inside. the tower pro are much more silent.

The "Tower Pro" I've got aren't the same as these anymore. I bought a few years ago and they were just like yours. The easiest way to distinguish them IMO is looking at the bottom. The cheap stuff has wires visible, the good ones have a tiny circuit board with an IC, no wires visible from the bottom. They're also way quieter now, before they were pretty loud and failed quickly.
