I remember a recent President who was trying to return manufacturing to the US so we wouldn’t have to rely on imports as much.

Time for entrepreneurs to identify commonly used items and bring manufacturing back to the US.

Worker shortage, well we can certainly blame poor government regulations, poor govt management and poor union management. We can also thank govt for pushing manufacturing offshore and lengthening a shaky supply chain.

The trucker shortage was partially the fault of the ports of LB an LA by running off independent truckers with new rules and regulations.

Let me get this right. There's dozens of ships anchored waiting to be off loaded. So how is this a supply chain problem? Sounds more like a problem unloading ships really.

It doesnt make sense blaming China's handling of C19 for the blockage of ships in the Long Beach/LA port. If anything, there should be fewer ships arriving on our shore.

Dude, answer the question: Why are those ships sitting there and not being offloaded??

What would happen if Americans stopped buying imported goods? Put off large purchases, buy local, Shop local and maybe celebrate Christmas in its original form; the Celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Stop buying Chinese goods and reduce the number of ships. The Chinese durable goods are anything but durable. Chip shortages, brittle plastic, steel that bends under heavy use, even finger nail clippers that dull after a couple of uses. Buy American quality goods.

Kamala joked a while ago about shopping for Christmas early. She knew this was going to be a major issue early on.

In one breath, he says there is a problem with containers not being able to be loaded from Chinese ports, which causes the supply shortage and in the next breath, he says there are large numbers of ships anchored that need to unload and can;t due to low staffing problems in the US port. The two don;t go together. He doesn;t have a grip on the subject at all.

Somebody should ask this guy who's paying him to slow it down

Why would China and Vietnam closing their ports cause a backup of ships in Long Beach? I would think that would cause fewer container ships in Long Beach, not more ships.

I won't be "paying up" I will just purchase items already here, or not at all.
