IS GOD'S WRATH GOOD--WHAT IS A BIBLICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE WRATH OF GOD?

As we continue through Revelation this morning, we have come to one of the key doctrines of the Bible, the Doctrine of the wrath of God. The wrath of God is part of the absolute justice of God.

No sin can go unpunished with God’s absolute holiness and justice. So, even though there may be little or no evident response from God for most of the sins being poured out by fallen and sinful humans, God’s justice has kept track of every sin ever sinned against the Infinite, All-Knowing God Almighty.

But a moment is coming when the river of humanity’s sins, piling up behind the dam of God’s patience will reach the limit, and the righteous, infinite, just wrath of Almighty God bursts forth.

Wrath is one of God’s eight moral attributes, as described in the Bible. Here is a list that we have studied as the elders and deacons of Calvary, from Grudem’s Systematic Theology:

Wrath: One of God’s Moral Attributes

The Moral Attributes of God may be described as 1. Goodness; 2. Love; 3. Mercy (Grace, Patience); 4. Holiness; 5. Peace (or Order); 6. Righteousness (or Justice); 7. Jealousy; and 8. Wrath. The most vivid illustration of that final moral attribute is where we have arrived in Rev. 6.

God’s wrath is not only one of His attributes, this wrath He has, is one of the major doctrines in the Bible.

In the Old Testament, more than twenty words are used to refer to God’s wrath. (Other, very different words relate to human anger.) There are nearly six hundred important passages on the subject. These passages are not isolated or unrelated, as if they had been added to the Old Testament at some later date by a particularly gloomy redactor. They are basic and are integrated with the most important themes and events of Scripture.

The first time God’s wrath shows up in Revelation is right here in Revelation 6. God intensely hates sin, and here in Revelation 6, we are introduced to the long-awaited “Day of the Lord” and the pouring out of the stored-up wrath.

When Revelation brings its torments to the Earth, everyone will want to know Almighty God...but He has already told us what to do...follow Jesus accurately...just as he taught the early churches. If those Jesus spoke to and who had direct contact with him must, then we must too. There is a wonderful science embodied in his 'word' which we can participate in now...if we follow Jesus accurately.

The problem is when one finds themselves in offense, the guilt that's felt is heart breaking to the believer..Praise His holy name but sometimes Grace seems almost a license to sin..Because of Grace. Often I have felt such relentless guilt when dealing with strongholds when I've failed..But be assured, no matter what He has got you, covers you, LOVES YOU..DUST OFF AND GO FORWARD! Do not dwell on your fall, instead dwell on the command, BE HOLY FOR YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS HOLY!

"IS GOD'S WRATH GOOD--WHAT IS A BIBLICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE WRATH OF GOD?"

(Sorry for the extremely long "comment". But I Do believe it NEEDS to be espoused)

Sir...you said, that God (who IS Jesus by the way!) tallies up EVERY sin that any one makes! And then at the End of the world; Jesus punishes for EVERY sin to be fulfill Justice. If I'm understanding you right. If so, that is NOT the way; Jesus works for 6, 000 yrs with Sins and good Deeds!. Because Jesus said in...

Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary (against) you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you (Punish in those days) X seven times; for every one of your Sins. For 6, 000 yrs so far! Now that's perfect Judging!

(To which I add: Jesus will punish X 70; for EVERY "Abominable Sin")! However, Jesus being THE perfect Judge; blesses untold EVERY good deeds also; that any one ever commits; from Creation until the End of the world. Praise His holy name.

Now: as to Jesus' wrath during the "Great Tribulation"; where there is a very difference when it comes to punishment and blessing. And why Jesus chose to split the 7 total yrs; into two 3 and 1/2 Yrs each. And in the first half; Jesus' wrath (WITH Mercy) will be against the Born Again's ONLY! Then the "Rapture" will happen; at the moment when the first half Ends. Proving "Mid-Trib!" Believe it or not.

Then Jesus' Wrath (with OUT mercy atoll); will be against ALL NON Born Again's. And their punishment is so excruciating; they will scream and beg to die. But their death will NOT come until the 2nd half of 3 1/2 yrs Ends.

Revelation 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Finally: there is ONE Sin, that has NEVER been adjudicated yet! During all through the 6, 000 yrs. And that is the "Unforgivable Sin". And Jesus preached this in...

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men (Mankind), even blasphemies howsoever they shall blaspheme: Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation (hell).

That is the "Unforgivable Sin"! And the ONLY Sin; that will send ANY one to Hell. Believe it or not! So, WHAT in the pluperfect hallelujah is that Sin? Huh? It is refusing up to death; that they have NEVER done what Jesus said in...

John 3:15 That whosoever believes in him (Jesus who IS God) shall not perish in hell but have eternal life. John 3:16 For God (who IS Jesus) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son*, that whosoever believes in him (Jesus) shall not perish in Hell, but have everlasting life.

End of Story and I rest me case...

...In any case Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

* Jesus who IS God: is 3 "manifestations" in ONE! AKA: Heavenly "Trinity"! Thus, Jesus is the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit at the same time. Now most say, "That IS impossible!" But Jesus said...

Matthew 19:26 Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I’m so glad I don’t worry about any of this nonsense and make believe! The Bible IS Myth!
Talk about lying for your gods!

Jesus is the 🚪, by him if any man enters in, he shall be saved. Jesus is the only truth, the only way, and the only life, no man comes to the Father, except by him. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.

Matthew 7:13–14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 9:12–13: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 11:28–30: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matthew 20:28: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Luke 9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Luke 13:23–24: Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

John 3:14–18: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:45: Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

John 6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:47: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 8:15–16: Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

John 10:7–11: Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

John 12:47–48: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

John 14:4–9: And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

LEFT BEHIND SERIES IS NOT IN THE BIBLE.

THE TRUTH ABOUT 1 THESS. 4:13-17 THE DEAD ARE RESURRECTED FIRST, SO THERE CAN'T BE A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH OF THOSE ALIVE IN CHRIST!
a
The Title of this Section is: THE COMING OF THE LORD, not pre-trib gathering before great tribulation! Often, I will use ALL CAPS to Emphasize a Major Point! I Promise you I'm not Screaming at you! I'm expressing Excitement!
b
"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about THOSE WHO FALL ASLEEP, or to grieve like rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that God WILL BRING WITH JESUS THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP IN HIM! According to the Lord's Own Word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the COMING OF THE LORD, will certainly NOT PRECEDE THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP IN CHRIST. For the Lord Himself Will COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, With a Loud Command, with the voice of the archangel and with the Trumpet Call of God, and the DEAD IN CHRIST will RISE FIRST. After That, we who are still alive and are left will be CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM in the Clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord Forever" (1 Thess. 4:13-17)
b
Verse 13: "THOSE WHO FALL ASLEEP"
Verse 14: "THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP IN HIM[JESUS]
Verse 16: "THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP"
Verse 16: "THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST"
c
Question: Who will Rise First?
d
Answer: The Dead in Christ Will Rise First! The Ones that are mentioned in Verses 13 and 14 and 16!
e
Major Point: THIS IS THE RESURRECTION!
f
Thus, the Living in Christ Will Rise Second, This is the Opposite of the pre-trib rapture stance!
e
Question: When are the Dead in Christ Raised?
f
Answer: When, "the LORD Himself will Come Down From Heaven." That is, At the Visible Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!
g
Point: After the Dead in Christ are Raised First, THEN those Alive are Raised SECOND!
h
Major Point: If the Dead in Christ are Raised or Raptured First, and they are Given their New Resurrection Bodies FIRST, THEN HOW CAN THERE BE A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE of the Living! For if there was to be a Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church, Paul would have said that: THOSE IN CHRIST ARE RAISED FIRST! But he Didn't!
i
Did I miss something? Nope! For: "Those who are Left till the COMING OF THE LORD, will certainly NOT Precede THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP IN HIM" [the Lord Jesus Christ]
j
The Second Major Point: There will NOT be a Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church BEFORE THE DEAD IN CHRIST ARE GIVEN THEIR NEW RESURRECTION BODIES!
k
The Third Major Point gave me goosebumps: "God will bring with Jesus Those who have Fallen Asleep in Christ." Don't miss this: WHEN JESUS COMES, He will bring with Him THOSE WHO HAVE DIED IN HIM! They are the DEAD IN CHRIST!
l
"But Christ has indeed been Raised from the Dead, the firstfruits of THOSE WHO HAVE FALLEN ASLEEP. For since death came through a man, the RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD comes also through a man. For as in Adam all Die, so in Christ all will BE MADE ALIVE. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; THEN, WHEN HE COMES, THOSE WHO BELONG TO HIM"[Those who are Still Alive]
m
The Third Major Point: the FirstFruits, the Dead in Christ are the First to be Given their New Resurrection Bodies! Then, Immediately Afterwards Those who are still Alive that are LIVING FOR JESUS CHRIST Will be Given their New Resurrection Bodies, "WHEN HE COMES." That's At the Second Coming of Christ, When Jesus Christ COMES DOWN FROM HEAVEN!
n
"I Declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a Mystery: WE WILL NOT ALL SLEEP, but we will all be Changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMPET. For the Trumpet WILL SOUND, the DEAD WILL BE RAISED IMPERISHABLE, and we will all be Changed" (1 Cor. 15:50-52)
o
The Most Obvious Point is that pre-trib rapture teaches that this Scripture is about the pre-trib rapture of the Church! They are only part right: This is Indeed the Rapture of the Church, but it is ALSO THE RESURRECTION! It is the RESURRECTION RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH! It Happens when the LAST TRUMPET IS SOUNDED and When Jesus Christ Returns! There is No Room for a pre-trib rapture, ONLY THE SECOND COMING of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
p
Final Point: the SECOND COMING is Also the GREAT GATHERING[the RAPTURE] and the RESURRECTION! They are Tied Together and are the: "Blessed Hope--the Glorious Appearing of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13) Those who Do Not Follow Jesus Christ and Those who Do Not Belong to the Lamb Jesus Christ, there is NO HOPE! Those who Long for His Second Coming, There is the Blessed Hope which can only be found in Jesus Christ Himself!

☝️Literally in Revelation 22: 19-20 And if anyone takes away the words of the book of this prophecy, (A) from the scroll of prophecy, (B) God will take away from that person his share of the tree of life (C) and of the Holy City, which are described in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things (D) says, "Yes. I am coming soon. Amen." Yes. Come in. Lord Jesus.

The Church is One. False Prophets, False Teachers And These who teachings a false Darby doctrine, who divide the body of Christ they Will Pay on Judgment Day.

Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
