I think another great thing to get you into labor and delivery is applying to teaching hospitals. I find them more willing to take on new grads and really precept you into the L&D environment. I am not a new nurse, but specialize in other areas of nursing and I found it hard to get into L&D until I applied to a teaching hospital.
