I was just watching the top 5 for 2024 and thinking you should have a top 5 for electric models. I'm glad to see Bad boy hopping on the electric train because I'm in the market for a mower and really don't want gas. I was actually eyeing the GreenWorks 60v MaximusZ but still window shopping.

Tractor Bob - I would like one of these as I'm going electric for everything including cars but I have 5 acres to mow. Is this capable of mowing acreage like that? There is no transmission to break right ?

Believe Bad Boy batteries are same as Greenworks which is competing with EGo. Meaning one isn’t limited to Bad Boy batteries. EGo batteries are not compatible with Greenworks. Using multiple smaller universal batteries is smart, EGo does same.

My concern over long term reliability is the blade spindles. Traditional Bad Boy mowers have monstrous seemingly over designed spindles, yet people find ways to break them. I’d like to hear the EV has a motor bolted to the top of one of these traditional spindles.

I just want a gas bad boy that doesn’t use a belt driven system. If Honda can make a mower that doesn’t use belts. Why can’t we get a zero turn that doesn’t use belts.
