I started the year great as well and I could not believe how much I was reading and then life happened :) I used to beat myself up for these slumps but now but now I simply take it as a signal to rest and focus on other things. Life is complicated and there are times I have so much going on I am physically and emotionally exhausted and let's be fair reading is a big emotional investment, it is not easy.

I loved What Alice Forgot. I just loved it. I've only read one other book by Liane Moriarty and that's The Husband's Secret which I also really loved.

I read both of those Liane Moriarty books last year and loved them :) what Alice forgot is my favorite of the two and I'm looking forward to trying some more of her stuff this year. Also check out her sister's YA series (The Cracks in the Kingdom) it's one of my favorites and its concluding this year.

I had a better reading month in January than I did in February. I read 8 in January and a whopping zero in February. I can't wait to pick up Salt to the Sea soon though!!

I agree about Stars Above, I was a little disappointed but I know I don't typically like novellas too much. I loved the first story because I think it gave us some good information and yeah the Carswell one I thought I'd like more. But I agree it was a 4 star good but not blown away. You've read so many books on my TBR, I need to get going lol.

I actually think Big Little Lies is her best book followed closely by The Husbands Secret. What Alice Forgot is the first book of hers I ever read though and I did enjoy it. Reese Witherspoon is starring and producing Big Little Lies which comes out either the end of this year or sometime next year I believe.

I read The Shadow Queen, in fact I just finished it yesterday xD. Stick with it. The ending is very good. But I do agree, the pacing is definitely different than what I'm used to, but in a way I liked it because it was something different? If that makes sense?

I loved Passenger. I didn't like The Girl on The Train. I liked Truthwitch. I need to read Stars Above and am going to read The Forbidden Wish this month. I am reading The Shadow Queen this month also.

Highly recommend The Husband's Secret. And I had to DNF Shadow Queen. It wasn't working for me.

Ugh i totally feel you about chaol. His character just took such a turn & i didnt like it. He wasnt the boy i love. But im still team rowan :)
Chaol got better towards the end but was still kinda irritating.
