I am reading A Darker Shade of Magic right now, and have ordered the next 2 books so I can read them immediately after! I am really enjoying it.

I totally understand how rereading makes you realise how much you've grown or changed. I recently reread Anna and the French Kiss which I first read about 5 years ago. It was such a great experience going back into the story after that amount of time and I realised how much I had in common with Anna and her feelings. I actually upgraded my rating to a 5 just because I felt so connected to the characters and the ambience of Paris the second time around.

I read Passenger last year and really enjoyed it! I still need to read Fangirl. It's been sitting on my shelves forever and I've just never picked it up. I reread City of Bones too! It was a much different experience reading it now that I'm 20 compared to reading it at 15. I changed my rating from a 5 star to 3 stars too. It's still one of my favorite series because of the nostalgia, but I definitely enjoyed them more when I was younger.
My favorite book I read in February was definitely The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis. I just posted a 20 min booktalk on it haha so obviously I really loved it.

I am so happy whenever someone reads and loved the Shades Of Magic series, because it's one of my favourites for sure! I'm also currently reading A Conjuring Of Light and I am torn between reading it as fast as possible and prolonging it because I do not want it to end.

My favourite books I read in the past two months are Magnus Chase And The Hammer Of Thor, The Sun Is Also A Star and If I Was Your Girl, they were all so wonderful!

I love what you said about rereading books to analyse yourself. I also do that a lot because I like to know if books that shaped me since a very small age are now books that, with a little bit more life experience, look different in any way. Nice wrap-up 😊

I'm reading Fangirl this month so you are definitely not the last! I've been re-reading favorites, too. So far I have only loved them more but some aspects of my thinking have definitely changed, mostly for the better! I do think our tastes change and your age/aspect on life is a factor when it comes to reading and enjoying books. I've read City of Bones twice and never really liked it enough to continue. May give it one more chance so I can read the rest of the series.

I just read (listened) to Fangirl last week and felt pretty much the same way about it. It was my first Rainbow Rowell experience and it made me curious about her other books, I didn't realise Carry On was related to listening to this (actually truthfully I didn't even glance at it yet).
I've now added "Lace Bone Beast" & "Passenger" to my TBR list as I really connected with what you said about them. I read "A Darker Shade of Magic" last year and refused to read the second one until the 3rd came out. Now that it has I am shifting them up the list a little more. <3

I loved your commentary on rereading City of Bones. I have a series on my channel where I do just that- reread old favorites and see how's it changed. It's been interesting for sure

I need to read VE Schwab now. Thank you for the recommendation. It's on my to-read list, but now I'm moving it to the top! I am reading the Princess Diaries series right now and having a great time with those.

Finally got to start a Conjuring of Light and the hype is real! I think V mentioned somewhere that she wanted the Shades of London series to have the same vibes as HP (like a love letter to HP) so I think it's perfectly understandable if you feel the same reading this series as with reading HP :D

It's so odd rereading an old favorite you haven't picked up in years. For me, that was Shatter Me. I the series in high school and four years later I'm reading. And it was so odd. I loved it, the writing was beautiful, but I wasn't completely in love with it like I was.

Still that was one of my favorite reads over the past two months, along with: The Sun is Also A Star. Such an awesome book. I thought nothing could be better than Everything, Everything but I was wrong.

And I'm glad you read Fangirl, and that you loved it

I read 15 books in January and not a single book in February. I was in a major slump I couldn't pick up a single book until today when I decided to pick up A Darker Shade of Magic, it will get me out of this slump

Girl I just found your channel and subbed almost instantly! I love that you're both positive and critical. I haven't read Fangirl or Passenger! I need to get on this haha. I'm also so happy to see more booktubers reading poetry!

Sense & Sensibility is my favorite Austen so far! I thought it was really great, and I loved the relationship between the sisters ❤️

I definitely need to read Fangirl, Passenger, and the Shades of Magic series! I also would love to read Sense and Sensibility- I love Pride and Prejudice and have been really wanting to read other Jane Austen works. I also would really like to re read old favorites from a new perspective like The Mortal Instruments!

A Darker Shade of Magic has been on my TBR for months but you just compared it to reading Harry Potter so now of course I must pick it up immediately :P Really excited now! xx

Don't worry I still have yet to read Fangirl, I'll probably read it soon since I've read other Rainbow Rowell books and have loved them. I also want to read Passenger and I'm happy you loved it, I'm probably going to read it in the near future since so many people love it .

I totally get what you say about The Mortal Instruments. I'm 20 as well and a friend gave City of Bones for my birthday last year and I started to reading it on january and just didn't catch me, but I feel if I was 15 I would have loved it
