Fantastic! This is just another reminder that an important key to the Steam Deck's success is Valve's continued support and updates. The fact that Valve makes it a point to support its LCD model in addition to the OLED model speaks volumes of them as a company. I am loving the new desktop. With Windows forcing people to buy a new hardware just to run Windows 11 after they stop support for Windows 10, more people like myself may be transferring over to Linux.

being able to wake my LCD with a controller is such a huge QoL change it almost makes me not care about not having an OLED 😭

Assassin's Creed Shadows on Steam Deck will have locked graphics settings at launch, (with only the upscaler setting being changeable). The game must use a very specifically tailored Steam Deck preset, where changing it would have rendered the game unplayable. If it happens to work well, then that will be a nice win for the Deck. UbiSoft says intend on freeing up more graphics settings in future updates.
