Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 22 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. Below I will showcase some of the playlists on this channel:

I have a playlist of metal detecting videos to teach metal detecting. The videos in the playlist below are specifically made to teach the skills and mindset to becoming a great metal detectorist.

I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites in New York City. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

Hey Merrill,
Just got back from Florida. Your Honey Badger Scoop performed very well. Excellent tool added to my arsenal. I used my Deus 2 for the first time in serious mode... Located one gold ring and one silver necklace. Ring was about 6-8 inches down, necklace was near surface. Love the tones that beach program produces. I bounced between the two beach programs and a modified program of my own. The scoop makes a huge difference in recovery time and amount of energy used to recover a target. I located the owner of the necklace and returned it to them. Dad was very excited as it was silver and a graduation gift. Still not using the MI-6. Just not me for now. Thanks, Paul

I remember a day when I had so many beach coins I thought my pants were going to fall off. I wish our currency would be made of better quality metal so they would hold up over time. To think a Zinc penny in 10 year will be dissolved. Congrats on the rings. That is the way my path is also LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I live in Pennsylvania near a popular lake where new Yorkers are bussed in. The day after a holiday the beach is closed because of bacteria in the lake. We've been there and have seen people changing dirty diapers at the water edge and washing the kids bottom in the lake. Beach is closed for several days.

All right great to see you out again, yes that was a trashy beach down here they've got trash cans about every 20 ft for memorial Day weekend going to be interesting to see if people use them lol. Looking forward to Monday Tuesday hunts hopefully the depositors will leave us a few goodies. Good luck up there
