Make it visible, and if you can’t do that, help the team at least refer to it during the Daily Scrum.
Make it business or user-focused when possible.
It doesn’t mean you can’t do anything else, it’s the thing the team can stand behind as well as all the other good stuff.
A list of product backlog items is not a goal. It’s a to list, so make try to make it specific.
