Drug Menace Rally Hits Shillong's Local Businesses Hard

The usually bustling GS Road of Shillong wore a deserted look on Thursday as hundreds of shops in the city's commercial hubs Motphran and Khyndailad were forced to shut down due to a rally called by the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) against the growing drug menace in Meghalaya.

District administration has deployed heavy security in the areas to ensure no untoward incident occurs during the rally.
