Living with a speech disorder can be frustrating and confusing, but I think there are always positive aspects to it.

I 100% agree with you, I also think I am a better person because I stutter! I'm more compassionate towards others than I would've been because I am actively trying to be nice because I know what it feels like to be uncomfortable in your own skin. Great video btw!

I needed to hear this. Today was so hard for me i dont know why. Today i just hated my stutter and hated myself for it. I know tomorrow will be another day and i will have the same issue. Trying to turn stuttering into a positive is hard. having a positive mindset is also hard but i end up forcing myself. Long story short i needed to hear that stuttering can be accepted if i allow myself to make that happen.

Thanks for this video.
I stuttered ever since I could talk.
As I grew older I became more self conscious of it.
For me it can be traumatizing just to speak in front of a crowd that I lose all self esteem. Then I don’t want to talk anymore.
I know I need to fully embrace it and forget what others think.

Thank you for making this video. This is exactly what I needed right now in my life. I am 22 years old and have let my stutter dictate my life up until now but not anymore.

Great video, Courtland. Small world, but I think I was in undergrad with you at USF and this video was used for a grad school assignment this week. Great content. :)

Hello just came across your channel. I have a stutter and I think the worst thing about it is the fear. The fear of what other people think. I don't really care about it anymore I just go screw it I have a stutter and don't care what people think. Lots of people will understand and will try and help you or understand and just be patient and let you speak. There are always going to be people who judge you no matter what or make fun. you just can't let it affect your life. I was in and car accident and now speak with a stutter. You can't let it effect your life. I'm trying to apply for jobs. Sometimes I I'm scared that I'm going to be judged by my speech and not get a job but I just get on with life . I'm happy with who I am. That's all that matters but I understand that people with this condition are scared to speak it can be frustrating and the fear is will they make fun do people like me or do they think I'm stupid. Or whatever. Just keep doing you and everything will work out good..

To be I can do without my stutter.

It made me more patience and emphatic. But still I would love it if my stutter would disappear ;). But that’s not gonna happen
